Doxford Barns

Doxford barns in the spotlight.

Set in 550 acre country estate on Northumberland’s beautiful coast this venue offers a rustic meets contemporary elegance.

Wedding ceremonies take place in the Threshing hall which dates back to the 18th century.

The stone walls are hand carved and the flagstone floor has been lovingly restored. The festoon twinkly lights and candles illuminate the ornate oak frame. The original fireplace is adorned with candles and flowers, making it a charming and romantic backdrop.

Wishbone Weddings are always met with a warm welcome from the staff and we are proud to be their recommended supplier.

This place is super dog friendly we’ve chaperoned lots of dogs to their parents’ wedding here.

Wishbone Weddings capture photographs of your dog enjoying their wishbone wedding day and the edited photos are sent to the newlyweds.

The photos that can be seen on this blog are photos we have taken.

The grounds are great to explore with your dogs and the venue is close to beautiful beaches, which are perfect for walks.

One of my couples actually got their dog ‘Daisy’ from Doxford barns and then later returned to tie the knot.

I chaperoned Daisy to the wedding and bumped in to Daisy’s mam.
